ABC NEWS' "WHAT WOULD YOU DO?" WITH JOHN QUINONES RETURNS FOR THREE WEEKS BEGINNING FRIDAY, MAY 7th AT 9:00PM/ET ON ABC

New York, N.Y., April 26th, 2010.               The "Primetime" Limited Series Explores How People React When a Situation Cries Out for Action; Will They Step In, Back Away, or Just Walk Away?

ABC News' highly-rated newsmagazine series, "What Would You Do?," is back!  Using hidden cameras and actors to see how people react when placed in provocative situations, "What Would You Do?" takes real-life situations, some of them straight from the headlines, and records the everyday dilemmas that test character and values. Are people compelled to act or mind their own business? ABC News correspondent John Qui–ones reports on peoples' split-second - and often surprising - decision-making process in this "Primetime" series launching three new episodes beginning FRIDAY, MAY 7, 2010 (9:00-10:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network. The series will also air three additional episodes: June 29th; July 6th and 13th

From light-hearted situations to potentially life-threatening scenarios, some of this season's episodes include:

* THE GIRL WHO HAD TOO MUCH:  How will people react when they witness a young woman - seemingly intoxicated at a bar - and a male stranger who approaches tries to take her home? Does it make a difference if the girl is dressed provocatively and seems "out to party?"  Do people try and help the young woman or do they turn the other way?

* LOTTO:  During these troubled economic times, more and more people are playing the Lotto.  What happens when a store clerk turns out to be a crook and tries to pocket the winnings of his customers? Do people stand up and do the right thing? And what happens when the clerk offers onlookers a piece of the action?

* BATTERED WOMAN:  Domestic violence is a serious problem in America, with many cases of abuse going unrecorded. "What Would You Do?" brings a couple into a New Jersey diner, with a professional make-up artist creating the illusion of bruises on the woman, and a man with a bad temper and a bad attitude. Do fellow diners try and help the woman when she seems in obvious danger? Or do patrons continue to sit back and eat their meals without intervening?

* SHE CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE: What happens when a mother gets so fed up with her children's' misbehaving in the backseat of the car; fed up to the point of forcing them out after a dispute and tells them to walk home. Do people try and help?  Do they confront the mother?  Or do some onlookers feel that this is an appropriate form of punishment when a mother is at the end of her rope?

* BREASTFEEDING IN PUBLIC:  "What Would You Do?" explores how people react when a restaurant manager harasses a mother breastfeeding her baby in plain view of others. Do people become enraged? Do they get up and walk out?  Hidden cameras capture their reactions.

"What Would You Do?" has won awards from the Chicago International Television Festival, and the Avon Foundation's 2006 Voice of Change Award. The foundation called the program "an important work of journalism that illustrates the unwillingness of many people to become involved or speak out against domestic violence." The Columbia Journalism Review has also praised the series as a "candid camera of ethics."

NBC, FREMANTLEMEDIA AND YOUTUBE HOLD ONLINE AUDITIONS FOR #1 HIT SUMMER SERIES 'AMERICA'S GOT TALENT'

Universal City Ca., April 26th, 2010.               NBC and the producers of "America's Got Talent," premiering June 1 (8-10 p.m. ET), have partnered with YouTube to allow talented acts from across the country to audition online for a shot at performing live on the #1 hit summer series, it was announced today by Paul Telegdy, Executive Vice President, Alternative Programming, NBC and Universal Media Studios, and Cecile Frot-Coutaz, CEO of FremantleMedia North America and executive producer of "America’s Got Talent."

Beginning April 26 through June 18, talented acts can upload their audition videos at www.youtube.com/americasgottalent.  From the submissions, the show's producers will select 40 acts to be posted on the special "AGT" YouTube site.  The YouTube community will then vote for their favorite acts and the act with the most votes will get to perform LIVE on "America’s Got Talent," alongside 11 other YouTube acts chosen by producers.

“’Expect the unexpected’ has always been core to the success of AGT,” said Telegdy. “This audacious new twist to the audition process offers our viewers not only a priceless golden ticket to get onto the biggest stage in the country in the middle of the competition, but also the opportunity for a thrilling live show where anything can happen. No other show would dare to take on this challenge.”

“We’re thrilled for the opportunity to leverage the passion, power and opinion of the YouTube community to help find the next winner of ‘America’s Got Talent,” added Frot-Coutaz.

This season, the series has traveled to Chicago, Philadelphia, New York City, Los Angeles, Dallas, Orlando, Atlanta, and Portland, but the YouTube invitations will exponentially extend the search to find the country’s freshest and unique talent.

"America’s Got Talent" has proven to be an online sensation with some of the most viewed videos on YouTube. From chicken farmer and last season's winner Kevin Skinner to "Quick Change" and Neal Boyd's spine-tingling opera performances to little Kaitlyn Maher singing "Somewhere Out There." Some of the most memorable contestant moments on "AGT" became online sensations.

NBC.com will continue to host the official website for "America's Got Talent" - http://www.nbc.com/americas-got-talent/ - and will feature full episodes of the show, weekly video highlights, contestant photos and online voting where fans will be able to vote for the finalists and ultimately the winner.

"America's Got Talent" from "American Idol" producers FremantleMedia North America and Simon Cowell's SYCO Television, returns this summer on June 1 (8-10 p.m. ET) with the hottest performers from across the country ready to compete in the blockbuster reality show's fifth season. Howie Mandel ("Deal or No Deal"), one of America’s favorite entertainers, joins returning celebrity judges Sharon Osbourne and Piers Morgan this season, while actor/producer/comedian Nick Cannon also returns as host.

The series is a true celebration of the American spirit, featuring a colorful array of hopeful stars, including singers, dancers, comedians, contortionists, impressionists, jugglers, magicians and ventriloquists, all vying for their chance to strut and perform on stage hoping to win America's hearts – and the $1 million prize.

QUOTABLES FROM “SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE’S WEEKEND UPDATE WITH SETH MEYERS” APRIL 24, 2010

“WEEKEND UPDATE” ANCHOR SETH MEYERS - “Greece, which is plagued by financial debt, appealed to its European partners and the IMF on Friday for a 60 billion dollar rescue package. Things are so bad that many have started referring to the country as Grease 2.”

MEYERS - “This week Arizona signed the toughest illegal immigration law in the country which would allow police to demand identification papers from anyone they suspect is in the country illegally. I know there are some people in Arizona worried that Obama is acting like Hitler but can we all agree there is nothing more Nazi than saying “show me your papers.” There’s never been a World War II movie that didn’t include the line “Show me your papers.” It’s their catch-phrase. Every time someone says, “Show me your papers,” Hitler’s family gets a residual check. So heads up Arizona, that’s Fascism. I know, I know, it’s a dry Fascism, but it’s still Fascism.”

MEYERS - “After being shut down for a week due to the volcanic ash cloud, flights resumed over Europe Wednesday. Experts say the disruption cost the airline industry an estimated 1.7 billion dollars not counting the 94 shillings lost by the grounding of Chitty Chitty Bang-Bang.”

MEYERS - “Hector Penate, a baseball coach and aspiring actor, said in an interview this week that he had an affair with Larry King's wife Shawn Southwick and that they "had sex in Larry's bed." Where I imagine you can go pretty crazy, cause there's railings on both sides.”

MEYERS - “In an interview with Oprah Winfrey, Nadya Suleman said that the nickname Octomom makes her feel like a "carnival attraction." Also not helping, this is the noise her Vagina makes...”

MEYERS - “Glamour was named Magazine of the Year on Thursday by the National Magazine Awards. It was also named Best Magazine by Magazine Magazine.”

MEYERS - “This week the Papacy of Pope Benedict turned 5 years old. At which point a priest hit on it.”

MEYERS - “A man in Connecticut was arrested for driving 5 mph in a 40 mph zone while in possession of PCP and a 9 year old in the car with him. Driving 5 in a 40, you know what I call that? Bad PCP.”

MEYERS - “A woman in England who lost her arm in a car crash was appalled to discover that her wedding ring was stolen off her severed limb after being brought to the hospital. There is some good news, though. The ambulance driver's girlfriend said yes!”

MEYERS - “A water aerobics class in Australia was postponed Tuesday when a 5-foot long alligator entered the pool. At which point I'm guessing the "intermediate" class suddenly became ‘advanced.’"

MEYERS - “A woman in Utah who blindfolded her husband, promising him a surprise, then hit him in the head with a hammer was sentenced to 30 days of home onfinement. To which her husband replied, "Wait... home?!? That's where me and the hammers are!”

MEYERS - “ABC this week refused to air an ad from plus-size clothing company Lane Bryant during Dancing with the Stars, saying that the ad featured too much cleavage. And yet the Offensive bears with toilet paper stuck to their asses continue their televised reign of terror.”

MEYERS - A man in China who only has an elementary school education is preparing to attend the Shanghai World Expo to show off his 47 robots, which he made on his farm. Though keep in mind, what he calls robots are just sheep wrapped in tin foil.”
